CHARCOAL Garden Bar + Grill introduces its chef-led and complimentary Cocktail in the Garden tours celebrating the bounty The Wynwood Yard’s urban garden brings to the restaurant on a daily basis.
Join Chefs Julie Frans and Nicole Votano for leisurely garden tours taking place on a bimonthly basis on Tuesday evenings from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. where you’ll learn tips about how to use fresh harvested greens and herbs in your daily cooking. The vast urban garden managed by Little River Cooperative supplies CHARCOAL and resident food concepts at The Wynwood Yard with fresh greens, vegetables and herbs.
Sip on a complimentary garden-to-bar cocktail while you stroll with Chefs Julie and Nicole and watch how effortlessly they harvest fresh, flavor-packed lettuces, herbs and edible flowers straight from the garden for a beautiful and delicious salad you can enjoy afterward. You’ll also receive a discount card for dinner at CHARCOAL Garden Bar + Grill.
Stay for dinner with your discount card and enjoy offerings like charcuterie platters for two or more featuring your choice of farmstead cheeses and artisanally-cured meats served with Zak the Baker bread, quince paste, dried fruit, walnuts and marcona almonds. Enjoy appetizers including scallop crudo, seasoned raw sea scallops dressed to order with lemon-beetroot-mustard vinaigrette or mezze, a Mediterranean-inspired combination of smoky Josper-grilled eggplant, carrot tahini, creamy labneh, crispy cucumber salad with feta, tomatoes and olives served with grilled pita bread.
The menu also offers whole branzino, perfectly grilled and simply flavored with olive oil, herbs and sea salt or local fish olive oil and lemon-basted and slow-simmered till tender, then josper-grilled to perfection. Savor sides like winter greens with josper-roasted garden greens or creamy macaroni and cheeses oozing with a farmstead cheese blend, velvety Mornay sauce top-grilled to a crispy finish in the Josper. In addition, CHARCOAL’s grilled meats, including the CHARCOAL burger, Florida farm-raised beef stacked with bacon-onion jam, cheddar cheese and served on a toasted brioche bun with charcoal-charred potatoes and a petite salad, satisfy your longing for back-to-the-roots and time-honored grilling.
CHARCOAL also invites guests to uncork the night and unwind from the week’s hustle Tuesdays through Thursdays with half-priced carafes of draft wine as well as half-off any bottle of wine.
CHARCOAL is one of the country’s first-ever full-service restaurants built entirely out of a collection of modified shipping containers. Seating is available indoors in the air-conditioned conservatory dining container and outdoors in the patio under a retractable Roman shade.
