Top 5 Fashion Trends You Will Be Wearing This Summer 2018

Summer is right around the corner! Time for that seasonal wardrobe update that hits all of this seasons major trends. From barely there sheer to patterns and pastels, we got you covered on what’s to come. Here’s a look at 5 wearable trends that summer has in store.

Bum Bags

Bum bags, belt bag, fanny pack or whatever you want to call it, the accessory which once was a staple in a happy tourist’s wardrobe, is officially “in”  again. A style that’s dominating the fashion scene, bumbags have been seen on the hips of some of the world’s most influential figures, from Chance The Rapper and A$AP Rocky to Rihanna and model-of-the-moment Adwoa Aboah.

Checks

Seen on shorts, pantsuits, pleated skirts, coats, full-length skirts, and dresses.  Most of the checkered looks seen on the runways this season take their inspiration from 70s plaid but there’s a splash of 90s grunge thrown into the mix. The geometric print seems to be having a major fashion moment as many designers, from Louis Vuitton to Hrabal Gurung and Fendi (pictured below), showed collections full of grid lines.

Pastels

Yes, you can wear a soft shade without resembling an Easter egg. Pair it with a deeper tone in the same color family, then add neutral accessories. Ice cream color pastels are the perfect way to delicately make a statement this summer. Tibi, Phillip Lim, and Victoria Beckham are just a few of the designers who filled the runways with pastels this fashion week season.

Sheer

SHEER is the new black. Though the fabric may not leave much to the imagination, when done correctly with sophisticated cuts, transparency lets your skin be the star! Celebs like Zoë Kravitz, Kendall Jenner, Bella Hadid and Sienna Miller can be seen rocking this trend on the daily. Free the nipple!

Bike shorts

Thanks to icon Kim Kardashian, bike shorts are having a major fashion moment. Bike shorts are no longer just for the gym, with the right styling, the right attitude, and the right pair, our vote is yes!
