5 Events You Can’t Miss This Weekend!

Looking for weekend plans? Luckily, there is always something going on in Miami! The hard part is just deciding what to do with so much to choose from!  But no need to stress, we’ve got you covered.  Here is our guide to the five best events happening in The New Miami this weekend!

 

1. Miami Swim Week Opening Night

It’s that time of year again! Miami’s most anticipated week for the fashion industry- Swim Week!  Art Hearts Fashion runway presentations are the largest and most attended shows of Swim Week. Celebrating the best of Miami Swim Week, AHF will host the official runway shows at the #1 Resort & Event Space in America, the Faena Forum!  Guests will enjoy amazing runway shows, presentations, art exhibits and surprise performances, as well as complimentary sponsored goodies!

With over 30 international designers and a capacity of 1000, their shows will feature twice as many designers and hold twice as many guests as any other runway shows during Miami Swim. Last years Surprise Host Nick Cannon stole the show by also closing out as a model for the finale. This seasons shows will be sure to outdo the rest!

2. Jaden Smith & Dj Ruckus at LIV

Looking for an exciting Friday night out? Grab the gang and head to club LIV!  LIV at the Fontainebleau hotel, consistently ranked one of the top nightlife venues in the world, reopened after a $10 million renovation to kick off the nightclub’s tenth season.  LIV has redefined nightlife on Miami Beach and pioneered the nightlife experience.  With over 18,000 square feet of striking architecture, soaring ceilings, vibrant lighting, and its iconic dome, live will continue to set the stage for the ultimate nightlife experience.

Special guest artist Jaden Smith, accompanied by DJ Ruckus, will have the club on fire all night.  It is a party you won’t want to miss!

3. Wynwood Yard Yoga

Take this Saturday to rejuvenate and maintain your physical and mental wellness. Especially after a Friday night out! Join Adrian Molina and the Warrior Flow • Miami Community team, who runs Free Warrior Flow Yoga on Lincoln Road, for this ultimate yoga experience on Saturdays at the coolest place, Wynwood Yard. An hour of movement, sound, electronic music, reggae, live singing, live mantras, and special guests. All under a covered outdoor space, surrounded by the best food trucks in Miami. $10 cash at the door.

4. Wynwood: A History of Street Art

Join HistoryMiami Museum and explore one of Miami’s trendiest and most dynamic neighborhoods – the Wynwood Art District. Learn how this textile warehouse and immigrant neighborhood, formerly known as “Little San Juan,” is quickly becoming the world’s largest outdoor art gallery. Stroll past vast murals and various street art displays, as you listen to the history of graffiti from the advent of written language to today. Hear stories of the artists, residents, and developers who made Wynwood home to over seventy galleries, five museums, and seven art complexes.

The tour will conclude at Concrete Beach Brewery, an artisanal craft beer brewery located in the heart of Wynwood, where participants will receive a behind-the-scenes tour and tasting of some of their local brews.

5. SLS Sunday Pool Party

Not ready for the weekend celebrations to end? Head over to the SLS Hotel for a pool party of epic proportions! With Miami Swim Week in full affect, this pool party is assured to not disappoint! With an open format DJ set, beautiful people, drinks, private cabanas, and a giant swimming pool, it’s a Sunday party you won’t want to miss!
