The Yard Rocks Miami Music in October

The Wynwood Yard’s Simple Vodka Stage ushers in the new season with a selection of live musical performances that will pick you up this fall. Don’t miss out on The Main Squeeze on October 7th as they make a stop on their national tour and belt out tunes from their recently released album, Without a Sound. Chill out at a special Reggae Sunday edition on October 22 with special guest, Zach Deputy. Make The Yard your go-to spot on Wednesdays for the newly-launched Jazz at The Yard series, and join The Yard for community-driven Farm Aid Benefit and Puerto Rico Relief concerts on October 25 and 27 respectively, among many other magical music moments.

Jerry Joseph Special Happy Hour Solo at The Yard |Friday, October 6 | 5 p.m. – 7 p.m.A musician’s musician, Jerry Joseph hosts a happy hour solo at The Yard you won’t soon forget. Following Jerry Joseph happy hour solo at The Yard, catch Miami’s self-proclaimed creators of “post-nuclear music”, Electric Kif, as they bring their cosmic renditions of funk, rock, soul and jazz to The Yard. Please join The Wynwood Yard for a benefit concert featuring live music and fantastic eats in support of South Florida farmers and their crops affected by Hurricane Irma. Artists and other participants, including community organizations that will collect donations for our all-important farmers, will be added and posted here. Check the link regularly for updates! Cortadito|Thursday, October 26 | 8 p.m. – 11 p.m.

Transport yourself to Havana with this Miami hailing ensemble. Cortadito lights up the stage with traditional Cuban music from back in the day, specifically Son Montuno, Guaracha, Boleros, Nengon, and Bolero Son. You may want to have a cortadito too to keep you energized and dancing the night away.

Puerto Rico Relief Concert at The Yard|Friday, October 27 | 6 p.m. – 11 p.m.

An international selection of live musical performers come together for an evening at The Yard to collectively raise funds for the victims of Hurricane Maria, including Miami’s own Latin reggae-urban-soul band, Xperimento; singer-songwriters Paula Arenas from Colombia and Sarah Packiam from Ireland. Reggae Sundays featuring Zach Deputy on Oct. 22 | Sundays, October 8, 15, 22 & 29| 2 P.M. – midnight

Kulcha Shok Reggae Sundays shine bright with a series of themed events including Kulcha Kids on the first Sundays of the month with activities just for the little ones from noon to 2 p.m. followed by regularly-scheduled Reggae Sunday live musical performances and DJ’s until midnight. All Vinyl on second Sundays co-hosted by Peppabox throwing you back to turntable days. Surfer Night coasts through every third Sunday co-hosted by the Surfrider Foundation and featuring surf movies. Miami-kissed Kulcha Latino brings the best of both worlds together under one sunny sky on the fourth Sunday of each month. This month Zach Deputy, soulful rhythm-and-blues tunes singer-songwriter shares the Simple Vodka Stage with The Yard’s reggae hosts.
