What project are you working on now?
I am currently working on a few major projects with private clients so I cannot disclose that information but when it comes out everyone will know… but what I am working on that I can disclose are a few mural projects for some clients one is a mural for cutting-edge solutions and the other is for Puesto restaurant .. I’m also working on a few commissions for some clients …life is good I’m grateful for every minute.
Exciting! How has your work developed since the previous show?
My work constantly develops itself with or without a show. It is fair to say it has developed very well and I am continuing to learn as I grow.
What’s the last show that you saw?
The last art show I have seen was at the Weinstein Gallery I forgot the artist’s name… but the next one I will see there will be the Miss Van solo show but have had some recent experiences at a few museums around the world… 1 example was seeing the 3 million-year-old bones of Lucy in Ethiopia at the Addis Ababa museum… it was amazing.
What’s the last show that surprised you? Why?
Answered that in the previous question…stunning.
Museums.. you get the full story behind the art and there is a variety.
What’s the most indispensable item in your studio?
I’d have to say my studio, in general, is indispensable and of course all the art.
Where are you finding ideas for your work these days?
Do you collect anything?
I collect and archive accomplishments I have created in my career. I try not to clutter my life with too much..but I collect what I love.
What’s the last artwork you made?
For a private client.
What’s the first artwork you ever sold?
Wow … a piece well over 15 years ago and it was the first piece I ever sold in a gallery It was for about 1500$…good times.
What’s your art-world pet peeve?
The art world itself … the constant competitiveness and cliques it arises.
What’s your favorite post-gallery watering hole or restaurant?
Don’t drink … don’t play favorites.
What work of art do you wish you owned? What would you do to get it?
A Gustav Klimt a Michelangelo a Carvaggio a Dali…because I love them and they are inspirations… What would I do…trade whomever a piece of my work for one of theirs.
What international art destination do you most want to visit?
My bucket list…India Russia .. I’ve been everywhere else.
